has anybody used the above with bn 2 help them breed or is it a good idea at all?what is the best ph for bn in general to get them to breed
hi i would use that on peppermint bristlenoses but not on the other types. my ph for my bristlenose tanks are at about 6.5 - 7 roughly although i do not really check it that often. my albinos and my commons breed all the time and once they start they do not stop but i think that the peppermints are harder to start breeding just put in a log and driftwood and keep clean water and they should start for you soon thanks.
My common bristlenose seem happy to breed at much higher pH's than that as long as it's nice and stable.
Around 7.6 is prob the average in my tanks.
lots of tannin in many of the tanks with all the wood in there tho.
Can't see a problem with using it, but spending the money on more food for them
is probably just as effective.
