Post by: jason on November 16, 2006, 05:51:14 PM
I just got home from a week away and have got a nest of eggs in with my yellow colony. Do you let them hatch or put them in a tumbler like cichlid eggs?

hi jason well if they are in the cave with the male bristlenose flapping over them then they will hatch themselves although if they are out of his cave put them in a tumbler. also when they hatch the electric yellows might eat them so i would move them to another tank or something with the same water if possible anyway congrats on the eggs and i hope that it works out good for you thanks.

it is a fry saver. it is so air can fan the eggs so they do not fungus.

i have a kitchen siv that sits over an air stone. it is that simple i use a plastic mesh one and place that in side a largeer plastic siv so the large fish cannot see them. if you are up my way drop in and i will show you or go to sealords frontosa website as he has picture of his frontosa eggs being tumbled and will give you a good idea
