Yep, the internet is up and running at the house and i'm glad to be back on the forum as i haven't been since August.
Well, the weekend just gone was the mission of all missions. Lloyd, Min and I toiled all friday night and in to the wee hours of the morning, packing tank after tank, three tier high into the back of a 6.5t pantex.
The big tanks with the help of some very valuable mates in Blackwater, CQ_Pete for sure, as well as a few other non-fish fellas.
Also, a big thanks to Mix Auto, mate of ours in Rockhampton who helped us with his 20ft tilt truck- took hours to load the big stands and racks onto the back but easy to rope them all together in Moura and slide them off the back.
Packed all day saturday and got down to Moura by 9pm......unpacked by lunch Sunday...and not a single tank broken! that's out of some 8 6ft and 7ft tanks, 30 something 3fters, 20 something 4fters, tonnes of 2ft and others so fantastic packing, a credit to Lloyd, the masted packer.
So, the bulk is here, we've ceramic painted a 40ft high cube container, lining the inside with inch polystyrene each night as well (finished one side this evening) and ready to put in the 8m rack tomorrow or Friday afternoon with the help of 7 others who i'll need help from to lift it in there.
So, in the process also of drilling or redrilling every tank to standardise the plumbing and sump system, to drain all to the central 7ft pond that will be outside the container, the beauty of having it on my own place instead of the rented shed in Blackwater, a shame no one really got to come up and see it as i have to tell you, it was one hell of a set up.
Anyways, the container here will be sweet when it's all up and running, that is for sure. Putdoor pond for the filtration, airconditioned container, standard plumbing throughout, and building some new stands, to fit the multitude of tanks and odds and end that i have aquired over the years from the likes of: Antony, Kurtis, Lloyd, Brad, Rodney, Scotty, Big Kev...my goodness, so many others as well i just can't recall off the top of my head, so it'll be good none the less. even more reason now for you all to head up to Moura as with Lloyd and I now in the same town, what a fish weekend it would be!
A Huge thanks to Lloyd, the best of mates and most generous bloke i have ever known (i can feel the repayment coming on helping him to build his new house though :). and CQ_Pete for his ongoing help with the fish and all the manual lifting in Blackwater as well.
So, bring on back the fish, i'll be back in action in a couple of months i'd say, currently down to about 40 tanks spread between Lloyd's fish room and my garage so will have heaps of enpty tanks when they are all back up and running, i can't wait.
Cheers all,
Andrew.
Good to see you back on the forum and glad the move went well. Definately have to head up to your joint in the future.
Wilson.

Welcome back, Andrew,
Sounds like you'll be back up and ruuning just in time for the Brisbane auction in February in the new spacious hall at Spring Hill. Don't forget to post some pictures when things are set up.
