Title: vinegar
Post by: clownie on December 10, 2006, 04:39:31 PM
my mum did some weeding the other day and said that she accidentily "splashed" part of my enviro-rock (or dried living rock) with vinegar, which she stated kills the weeds. ive rinsed it off and am a bit hesitant in putting it back in the tank off africans for fear of killing them. obviously i'd like to put the rock back in as they are a bit exxy. can someone tell me if vinegar is safe?

cheers

i think if you wash t off well should be ok. i would doubt if vinegar would leave a residue

If anything all the vinegar will do is slightly lower your pH, but if it dried up it wont do anything. Give your rock a rinse under fresh water if your worried before putting it in your tank.
