I am considering selling a few of my South American fish. I have a twelve cm Severum and a twelve cm Surinamensis. I was wondering what they would be worth.
I may be interested in the Surinamensis if it is an actual Suri and not a Brachybranchus.
Jamez, if its a brachy i may be interested...
Im pretty sure its a Surinamensis, well thats what I bought it as. Here's a photo.

Yep its a suri.
nice fish.
It was apart of the surinamensis complex years ago, as were countless other geo's that looked similar. Looking at the photo i'd say its a brachy... what do you think shep?
I'm still interested jamez... shoot me an email ;D
Does sort of depend if surinamensisis is even in Australia I spose.
Americans all look the same to me.
Dons asbestos suit.
Same spot and speckles and fins...
Queensland red horse face....
or suri for short until we get real Suri ;D
I enjoy watching them forage....
More like cows than the squabbling dogs Malawi food frenzys.
But as to exactly what it 'is' and what its worth
?
estimates

I don't beleive the true surinamensis is in aus, but anything is possible i spose.... It's extremely rare in the US...
I'll go out on a limb and say i'm 90% sure its
Geophagus Brachybranchus.
I have a breeding colony of 5 that i'd like to add to, their a great fish to watch! their feeding and breeding habits are very interesting.
As for price, i know what i'm willing to pay for it... ;)
