just wondering if anybody has an opinion on using aquarium detergent cos lots of the tanks i get are second hand and the most recent was really dirty and gross (hasn't been filled yet).
It was washed with salt to try to kill bacteria but i dont know if that is helpfull or not..
The only place i know supplies aquarium detergent was pets paradise at indooroopilly shopping center but it was a very expensive, tiny bottle and not used diluted so it wouldn't last long. Know any where i could get some cheaper/better value stuff?
thanks,
flik
Aquarium pharmaceuticals make a product called safe and easy comes in "spray" and "wipes" can be used inside and outside of your aquarium
Hi,
Chlorine from the pool shop is a great sterilizer.
Then use a water conditioner/neutralizer to remove the chlorine from the tank.
Chlorine, bleach, salt condies crystals are all great, no hassles whatso eva............ detergents juss a waste of money!!!!!
Vinegar is also another good one, tequilla is gr8, but drink alittle firest then use the rest! :)
ray ,
mate do you add salt and lemon with that
Damn STraight i do,,,,,
I drink most of it first, then throw alittle in the tank, then add the lemon then the salt, iffen its not too dirty ya can drink it also, might have to pass it through a strainer, but it works a treat.....
ray was the one to coin the phrase , lick, sip, suck.........
