Half-doses of melafix, with regular water changes, and aquarium lighting turned off should fix the problem.

I recommend removing the clowns to a hospital tank where you can treat easily. I dont know of any medication which wont harm either your biological filtration or plants. Catching clowns with lots of plants may not be easy though so perhaps a fish trap....? ie clear plastic bottle with pellets left inside after lights are turned off. Or a ceramic pipe which you can leave permanently since Clowns will soon make this their home.

Would raise temp in hospital tank to speed up treatment.

I'd raise temp to 30 deg C
increase aeration and continue to treat with same meds
forget the half dose
go full strength hey.
Just my call, I realise they are scaless and tetra species.
Maybe yours are gonna croak but if they were mine I'd go full strength after that long!!
Also remove any driftwood that doesn't have plants on it.
For some reason it seems to remove copper and stuff up doses in my tanks.
Do not add any bentonite clay treatments like geo-liquid or easy life!
Oh and yea take out ya carbon/charcoal.
Bloody tricky and many people belive loaches become immune before they are cured.
Not exactly a scientific explanation but yea food for thought.
Any idea what trigger the outbreak?
New fish, temp swing or stress......  or something.
Anyway good luck and don't forget quality food to increase their immune system
and small partial water changes with treated water of same temp as the aquarium.
Also be sure it is white spot, don't mean to patronise but lots of stuff can look like it.
Velvet and many bacterials for example.
