Im not sure, I think the rarer ones are protected species, but all you need is a reptile license and you can generally keep whatever reptile you like, there are specific exceptions though, if you got caught with common geckos I dont think they would hassle you to see a licence.<

the geckos that are around qld everywhere are not the geckos people think they are infact they are a species which accedently sliped into australia (a bit like cane toads only not intentionally introduced)  and are now a pest destroying the not so common variety of australian geckoes and other small native species.... so don''t feel too bad

Hmmmmmmm Dont know if it will be a problem, prolly wont, but<
>  you dont feed lizards to your pet reptiles because they carry a parasite that is passed on to your snake or whatever, It shows up as a long narrow bump under thier skin, easily removed but cutting the skin and pulling the critter out with a pair of tweezers, dont know if it will effect your fish though,<
> If you want a cheap food just use bait,

I have no idea if this is true or not, but I was told not to let cats or dogs eat them because the have some sort of toxin in them. Could be just a wives tails though.<
