Title: Discus in comminuty tank?
Post by: Director12 on August 10, 2005, 07:48:58 PM
Thinking of getting a couple now that I've gotten rid of that white spot.

Are they OK or do they get a pick picky?

I have a 4' planted tank, other fish are neons, brislties a dwarf gourami and a couple of live bearers.

Cheers

I think they'll eat the neons, and I dont think the neons will like the temp.
The livebearers like it hard and salty (no giggling) and the discus dont.
Mostly with Discus all you can have is larger tetras and little catfish. Maybe an apisto?

Hi, I have discus, neon, hengili rasbora, cories (various type), bristlenose, even lately I added 4 tiger barb, a male and a female fighter in my 3ft display and they are all fine together.

Enjoy and never limit yourself with combination of fish (as long as not too extreme). You will never know if u never try.

Cheers.
