Thanks

Glenn not being a smart arse or causing trouble just saying it was a bit bland, thats all you have to say is suggestions will be considered, we weren't told anything other than how to convert over. I understand its a big job and will get there eventually. And my first official suggestion is a change of colour. Good luck  :D

yes maybe a brighter background for all of the forum catagories and main screen area.  I tend to agree.

Thanks for the suggestion

no probs with that Bob, I tend to agree with some colour changes.  I just get the shits with how some people go about advising their views, it is the manner in which they do it.

If more people were suggestive in their manner, than more productivity would be the end result from all.  No one needs the bickering that is associated with Forum boards, people are over it.  I am setting a clear path with this new board.

guys, click on your account, click on my themes, then choose a theme.
there is a couple of different colour styles to choose from.

edit: ok, for some reason that option is now gone? :?
Title: can we do a colour change?

 I seemed to have missed something. Is there any way to change the colour of the forum on our screens?? I think I must have night blindness.... I'm having trouble reading some of the words.
Great Job though - must have been an amazing amount of work!!!

nope, there is no alternate theme option.

Colours may change, they may not. If you're having trouble seeing the forum, then I might suggest you adjust your brightness and contrast to achieve the desired result.

It may in fact be, that you need to replace your old CRT with something a little more modern that has some contrast, rather than that 1982 commodore 1084 monitor that's had the fly-back transformer tweaked till the screens burnt to a crisp and evey last electron has been squeezed out of it.

How did you know I had a 1982 commodore 1084 monitor?

The trouble is everytime I save up a enough money I realise I just can't do without that new fish, extra tanks. stands, heaters, filters......

I guess its time to make the tough decision. Do I spend it on a new monitor, new glasses or a zebra pleco??  My husband wants the monitor, my work thinks I should buy the new glasses but I really want the fish.

19" LCD Monitor wins everytime.

It may in fact be a crap color scheme, as I have the same problem. I come here and have to boost my brightness up by about 50%, then I have to wear welding goggles when I go to any other site.
Maybe we should complain to every other internet site to match there color scheme with this one.
Theo
PS: Fairly new monitor
Hope I'm not being too harsh.

Yep that worked. I can read it now with the contrast and brightness up as high as it will go. My husband won't get his monitor, work can stuff the glasses, and I go looking for plecos.
Thanks

I've come to the conclusion that everyone needs to take a massive chill pill. I realise that the people who started the forum want what is best for it. No matter how it is said peoples opinions are only trying to be positive but i find that the minute something is said head honches are jumping down peoples throats. I know you want it to work well but its the same people that were here before and the fact is it worked before and it will still work. So my only piece of constructive advice is that the new forum is done and alot of stress and hard work went into it and now its time to relax and enjoy it. PLEASE!!!!
