suggestions on American Breeders ?

Hi Guys

i have a spare 4 foot tank and was looking for suggestions as to what to put in there as i would like a breeding pair of something but i have no idea what would work ok in a 4 foot tank
not oscars and red devils etc if they can be less aggressive would be better
was thinking about medium size cichlids if possible?
and spawn over 100fry at a time to feed my fronny's

any thoughts please
