Have two oscars in a tank and they were sharing with a pair on convicts (constant food supply) And a pleco ( have moved convicts and pleco into another tank).

Came out the other morning to notice that I had oscar eggs all over a piece of volcanic rock, and that they had beat the Sh*t out of each other ( gotta love the love rituals)(F**k being a fish).

Watched the eggs over the next couple of days and they slowly started to disappear. Could have been pleco or convict babies that ate them. Also noticed that the eggs were getting a covering of fungus (i think it was fungus). Anyways, all eggs are gone now so im not too worried as i now may have a pair. Especially after checking vents etc.

Thought i would check PH to see what they liked to breed in and thought i had something wrong with my test, did it 3 times, the PH had dropped to 5.5  8O . So with that i did a water change and all the rest of the stuff you do!! Everything is ok now. Just thought i would share. Anyone got any info they would like to share on breeding oscars eg> water conditions etc
evz ;)
