Just when you think you''ve seen everything. I''ve been feeding my Mangrove Jack a variety of foods including live fish, but lately mainly prawns and White Pilchards. Yesterday I threw in a couple of live Platies about 4cm, as soon as one hit the water it was gone, but to my amazement he spat it out a few seconds later and wouldn''t go back to it. I threw in another one he raced up had a look and just let it be. I couldn''t figure out the problem, then it hit me, because he''d been eating saltwater prawns and pillies, he didn''t like the taste of the freshwater fish, maybe I should have salted them first.<
>This morning I threw the live one back in and he ate it in a flash, hunger must have gotten the better of him the fussy bugger.<
