hello all,

I was just wondering,
if we are selling something at the auction, do we need to stay till the end? what time is that likely to be?
(folks dont want to stay up till past midnight to drive me home  )

thanks
Kathryn

AvJohnny

No you don't have to wait until the end.
Once you stuff has gone thru, just ask  the guys up the front at the table nicely and they will process your sales sheet.

Normally the auction would end say at night 11-12.
Depend how how uch has to be put through...

Regards,
John.

:?:
Hi, I am a noob to these forums & saturday was the first fish auction I have attended & I have a couple of questions. Any help will be much appreciated!
I quickly realised that you really have to know your tropical fish names & descriptions a bit better than I do for these auctions... the first 30mins or so I didn't really recognise the fish descriptions (apart from some bristlenoses).  I ended up bidding on some 'rosy belly firemouths' ... or at least... thats what I thought the auctioneer said.
Now I have just read in the post above that perhaps I should have then stayed until a sales sheet was processed? I didn't realise this & left with the fish straight after paying the runner... is this a problem?

When I heard 'firemouth' called out I was expecting some 'meeki' but the fish I recieved are not meeki so I was hoping someone here might identify it for me. (below is a picture).

I am not unhappy with the purchace... the opposite! these critters are quite cool!  8) but I would like to know exactly what I have.

It was very interesting to attend my first fish auction & next time I will have a better idea what to expect & bring my own esky & stay longer.

thx in advance.
