display tank

hi i have now got a spare 4 foot tank that i want to use as a display tank. it had alot of algae in it so at the moment i only have about 100 albino bristlenose fry in it eating the algae. my question is i am wanting to put in about 40 neon tetras just for looks but what can go with them the lfs here is useless and tell me something different everyday. and where can i get decent neon tetras from that are not crazy prices like where i am from. thanks.
