Hi
I have a P.Saulosi which is continually writhing and swimming in twisted circles. After following the disease diagnosis chart at the following website: http://www.nationalfishpharm.com/fish_diseases/behavioral_disorders.html, the only thing which my fish is showing signs of is whirling disease. The thing is that everything I have read on whirling disease says that it is only ever found in salmonoid species such as freshwater trout. I am just wondering whether anyone has ever come across similar symptoms in their fish, and if anyone has any recommendations as to how I should treat this sick fish? I have quarantined the sick fish in a separate tank, and am in the process of increasing the temperature to about 28 degrees C. I should also mention that my clown loach has also been acting strangely recently, and has been doing what appears to have been chasing his own reflection in the glass of the tank. He swims in circles along the bottom, then upwards and back along the top, then down to the bottom again. He repeats this over and over again. I don't think this is related, as the behaviour is not really like that of the Saulosi, but if anyone has had a fish doing similar things, then any light you could shed on this would also be much appreciated.

Cheers
Brad
