Just thought that I would share a pic of a large wild caught Toga that I had the pleasure of handling for a few minutes before he was released back to the wild.  The colours of these guys is something you really have to see for yourself, they are awesome looking fish when they come from a wild environment.  The colours are really amazing....

We were lucky enough to see literally hundreds of these guys happily swimming around in their natural environment, in some areas, they would all come together and sit motionless just under the waters surface in direct sunlight, having a sunbake....

These larger guys are quite aggressive and do not mind trying to give you a nibble.....  He was released safely back to the wild after we took a few pics.  He was also tagged, as we were gathering info for a study that we were involved in some years back.  So hopefully if an angler ever catches him, hopefully they will record the tag number and release him.

Regards

Where did you catch it ?

This Toga was from Lake Cania, from there we moved on to the Dawson River, where we weighed and tagged many more.  The Dawson is there natural range full of some very nice Toga.
