Quoted from Arowanaman:
I urge all users to go and have a read over the terms and conditions that govern the use of this forum. We are more than happy for a good debate on any Forum related topic.  However there is a code of conduct that we must all pride ourselves on.

Before making a reply to a topic or adding your thoughts or opinion, do some homework of your own, research the topic that is under debate.  Your reply to the topic should be well thought out and contain facts to back up what you are saying.

Others members may not agree with your reply, they then have a chance to reply with their view on the topic, this is what having a debate is all about.  You will find that no matter how passionate you may be on a topic, some one else may be just as passionate about it, but in the other direction than yourself.  This is why it is very important to make your reply factual, informative, researched and well presented.

Members are not interested in flame wars or personal attacks; this sort of conduct soon removes all credibility from a good topic. Have respect for other member's opinions and they will respect your opinion.  Keep on topic and make your reply one that is beneficial to the forum and its member's.  Do not turn a good debate into a personal issue, rise above it.

I thought this topic debate was a good test case to see if people could stay focused and cool headed.  It is obvious of the end result.  I urge all members to adopt the code of conduct when making your contribution to the forum.  If you cannot follow some basic rules and display some etiquette, then we don't want or need you here.  There are many other forums that will entertain you.
