massive lose

Hey all

Had a great start to the weekend, finally negotiated a deal with the [b:0b1425ebe8]Minister for War and Finance [/b:0b1425ebe8]( The Wife )  :D to purchase a 6' display tank, got a bargin came with 20 or so very large fish

Got up Sunday morning went to pick up the tank seperated fish into buckets for transport, while I put the tank onto truck [b:0b1425ebe8]The Minister for War and Finance [/b:0b1425ebe8]took the fish home.

I arrived home to find majority of my new display fish [u:0b1425ebe8][b:0b1425ebe8]DEAD[/b:0b1425ebe8][/u:0b1425ebe8]  :cry:  :cry: ( 9 lombardoi, 1 huge Elec Blue, 2 Peacocks ( I think 1 'Marleri Gold' & 1 that was all Blue with wide red strip top to bottom through Gill area)1 large male Venestus and also 1 extremely large Black fish with White strip tip to tail.:cry:  :cry: Cause someone, that will be left nameless didn't put air into buckets when they got home.

Lets just say I was not a happy camper. :x  :evil:  :x  :evil:  :x  :evil:  :x

The few fish left were 1 Frontosa :lol: , 1 Blue Dolphin, o/b Peacock, Albino Zeb, 1 male Lombardoi and 2 blue p/cocks.

Was wondering where to get larger Display fish as Tank is very bare now.

Not alot of $$ left now that I bought tank.

Do many larger fish come through G/Coast Auction as was going to that anyway.

Mate, sorry to hear the bad news. But great victory over the wifey (wish I could get a 6 footer!)
Anyway, I found the best way is throw up WTB: Wanted To Buy post in the classifieds, and also keep an eye on any for sale posts with people selling up excess breeding colonies or display tanks. Also try PM a few breeders for anything they might have.
You could certainly try your hand at the auction, but the forum here is by far the easiest place to pick up display fish, and cheapest.

Alright guys you know the story..........anyone who may have any of the lost fish above, be willing to donate or even at a good price pass on to clark that would be much appreacated.......

i like to think we are a pretty close community (fish geeks) and where if posable will always try to help out a fellow keepers.....

Every 6ft tank needs a pleco. I'll bring you one about 5 inches down to GC auction and I have 1 Black Ghost Knife about 4 inches you can have as well. I am assuming your black fish with white stripe was a Black Ghost but if it wasn't  and you don't want it let me know.
