hi... im blonde and i am new to the hobbie (what else can i say) and now i need some help... <
><
>i thought my sunshine peacock was holding so i was moving her to another tank but she spat her eggs into the net. <
><
>i have now moved her and eggs to a strainer in her main tank (tank has another f and a m). Whats the best to do from here?<
><
>i have looked at the other links posted on her which tell you how to make a tumbler and i dont have all the parts needed.<
><
>will she pick them back up? - will she eat them? - or should i remove her and put an air stone underneath?<
><
>please help me

i''d just put her and the eggs into their own tank and see if she picks them back up.<
>if she doesn''t then you can tumble the eggs <

I don''t think she''ll pick them back up, and if they have been sitting for a while it may be too late to tumble them. Give it a go if you can set something up. I gues your fish is only young so she will hold for longer as she gets a bit more experience. Also I have heard that they will be more likely to hang on to there eggs while being netted if they have been holding for over 10 days. Wish you luck.<

>by the tme i got back down to her there was only 6 eggs left. I couldnt see the others in her mouth so i put her back in with the other 2. i have placed and air stone inbetween 2 strainers. How do i know when to give up with this idea? Do the eggs have to be literally tumbling around and to what degree?<
><
>i do have an old under ground filter that i can turn into egg tumblers but just missing a piece of pipe that will join the top half to the bottom half. Can you buy this or do some undergrounds come with the uprights in two pieces and a joiner?<

>thanks heaps<

Go to your local hardware store. They should have some clear, flexible hose you can buy. I found some at Mitre 10 that was a nice tight fit over the uplift pipes, works a treat. If you notice any fungal growth on any of the eggs, shows over, pick out the dodgey ones and see how the rest go. I don''t think the eggs need to be bouncing around all that much, just enough to ensure fresh clean water is flowing over them.<
