after reading neils post this morning i wanted to add my story from yesterday without hijacking the post

basically i want people to understand what common courtesy is...
replying to pms and emails
phone calls when needed
and just generally replying to post if you can help

but this is what annoyed me personally yesterday...

i rang someone up at wed lunch time... organised pick up for thurs 4 pm. got the address, drove a little over an hour to get there and then he wasnt home. so spoke to his wife and she said the fish went last night. (as in wed night)

have phonecalls really increased in price. it cost me $20 in fuel and $5 in tolls to get there but could have saved me the trip if the seller had simply called/PM/posted and said "sorry there gone"....

on the other hand if the seller needed them out that fast he could have told me during the the phone call and i could have arranged an earlier pick up time...

and to make it worse, as they were free fish, and to say thanks somehow, i stopped into the botttle shop on the way through and brought a six pack.... what i am going to do with the six pack now. (not much i know but at least it was somethng)

and to top it all off, his wife asked me if i would like the seller to call with an appology, i replied that theres not much that can be done but if he wanted too it would be nice.... guess what again no phone call.

so yes some ppl are just extremely rude but i have learnt that what goes around comes around. so maybe when this guy goes to buy his fronties this weekend the seller may have already sold them

This may be poor defence! This prompted me to check my PM's & I found I had 2 unread mesages   I guess from my side of things I will have to check my pm's manually.

This does not excuse people who waste time by tyre kicking.

That has never happened to me personally but it would be annoying. But the other thing I find extremely annoying is when you have fish for sale and you get a pm about them so you put them on hold and pm back about arranging a time and you wait and wait and get no reply.

So your fish are on hold for no reason?  By then the other people who asked about your fish already found other ones. Therefore no sale!!

But that is just my opinion.

Cheers

Cary,

I understand if you don't get on for a while to read your pm's.  The person who sends the pm can see if it's been read or not.  My examples involve people who have gone to the trouble of reading the PM and then not bothering to hit the 'reply' icon!
