Here are some pictures of a 9'' x 3'' x 3'' bay front tank I recently bought. It wasn''t exactly the dimensions I was after since BIG fish might get caught in the narrow ends but Brian was selling his house and the tank was very nicely made.....<

>Weight was approx 600kg and the base had already been
oken once trying to move it so I thought I''d get some professional help in... <

>These guys are expensive but fantastic. They''d already helped  Malcolm (WetPetz) and I install the shark tank into the Adrenalin Sports Bar a few years ago. No other movers were able to do it including some which used winches and cranes due to the tight corners and set of narrow stairs... Access here was also pretty tight. Just a couple more centimeters clearance!!<

>Once on the trolley it was up the driveway and up the ramp onto the truck.....<

>Notice Malcolm (purple shirt) straining away in the background. I think he was pushing while we were pulling.<

>Tank in place! Next is the filtration, some alterations to the cabinet, a few metal halide lights and then moving in all the huge inhabitants including a 3'' long arrowana. More pictures coming soon<

Hey Winston,<
>                 Good job on moving the tank, the first time I moved my 9x3/5x2/5'' tank I paid some one else to move it for me. They didn''t have a trolley suitable so we all had too do a lot of lifting.I never want too have to lift it again. I have a metal cabinet made from 50x50mm steel and the last time I moved it I welded up some trolley type wheels and as I was only moving 4km some friends and I waited till 2 oclock in the morning and pushed it the whole way, we only had minor set backs like wheels melting ( they were only rated for 60kg each ) But other wise it went really well. I can move it round the house by myself by lifting one end and rolling a skate board under, then I go round the other end and lift and push.<
> Trouble is I am planning on moving out to wynum soon, That is the reason I sold my Fronties as I didn''t want the stress of moving the tank and trying to keep the fish alive aswell. How much do you reckon it would cost for your mates to move my tank from Mt Gravatt to Wynum?<

>james

James,James hes our man if he cant do it no one can.

Well I am glad to say that there has been a little progress...<
>Life has been busy and this tank sat neglected for a while but tonight the tank is finally full with 2 trickle filters running via two overflow pipes and two returns. Just one would have been enough but double everything means redundancy. I will cut some 12mm lids this weekend to stop the bigger jumpers and post a picture once the tank is cycled and fish are being moved in.<
><
>At the moment it has a 45cm Red Fin Grey Gourami in there to cycle the tank. It used to dominate a 6 x 2 x 2 but now I have to really look high and low to find it in this tank....!<
