I believe male cuckoos have a penis...  and I am not saying that trying to be smart...

Look at the vents...  :D .. the females wont have one...  :lol:

JT's right.  If they are mature enough to breed, you will notice the male with a little willy and the girl with a little round notch in the same location.

I believe that your Synadontis is a featherfin Catfish.
Synodontis eupterus.

Thanks for replies guys. The synadontis isn't Eupterus. It does look similar. They are about 25cm and have gold colour look washed through them. Have to try annd get some better photos.

mate I will be in mackay between chrissy and new year if you want wouldn't mind coming around and sex those cuckoos for as I have bred em before. Would give me something to do besides puting up with the inlaws. If it is ok can you pm me your phone number before saturday lunch when I leave. :D
