darren,<
>you could make a nice little sump out of a three footer.....<
>if you could turn the water over once per hour that would be good so have a look at what AOA has , even if its a submersible they work fine.<
><
>you need holes drilled in the tank for the over flow, plumbing ie water, tank to sump and water, sump to tank....<
><
>and just you filter media....<
><
>get around to as many guys with systems as you can and have a look at how there''s are done and pick out the best ideas from each.<
><
>ill do you quote for the stand later tonight....<

Hi Wayne <
><
>Thanks for the info do you think a 3 footer will be big enough for that amount of water ie 3000L ?<
><
>looking at other systems i am planning on doing that aswell.<

well if you want to go cheap without looking very pretty you could turn one of those 1000L tubs into a sump.<
><
>Also I''m not still sure if they''re available but aroudn 6 motnhs ago there were some big black tubs that were around(check bunnings) 1mx60cmx60cm give or take, I''ve made a sump out of them and I also luckily found a clear plastic tub(i think around 70L) that I can squeeze in to it to hold the media, etc. The tub was 50$ and the plastic tub was about 18$, I think you could make a quite nice large sump with it, not overly large but probably enough. fish fish fish fish turkey fish fish gobble

well a five footer does around 12,000lt so i think it will be ok.<
><
>good thinkin dyce, yes thats another way of doing it, i had a small fry tank set up and use one of those white tubs, cut a hole in one end with a wood hole saw for the pump and it worked well.<

i run two of those big black bins from Bunnings one holds calcium filtration and the other hold my bio balls and my primary media filter with a 18000lt pump so my filter works out about 2000 x 600 x 300. ok it is an over kill i know but better clean than dirty and less work.
