Yep.

2 Options
 -drill tank
 -build overflow boxes

I built overflow boxes (2) for less then 10 each.

Buy a storage container
Divide the storage container for media (use baffles or what ever) - I actually used 10cm deep trays that are suspended from stand whichsit over the storage container.
Fill with media. Filter floss/foam/scrubbers/bioballs/toy soilders (i the last tray i have CC to buffer)
Buy pump.
Plumb it all
Sort out problems
Have a beer

If you need to seek diagrams, you probably shouldn't be building one.

Thanks for the tip.
Thats why you get diagrams - to LEARN to build something.

That helped WHO???

Anyway, Have a look at this, You dont really need the sand and plants, but you can do it if you like, i would suggest making a bigger bioball chamber aswell if your going with this style.

Thanks - that cements what I was thinking.
I understand the concept, just building it is the next challenge.
I saw this one on EBAY - what you think of this design? Cut and paste the link below :)

Looks like he did in two tanks what you could do in one.

Look. It can't be that hard to use google. Or even www.cichlidforum.com <search DIY forum>
There are 100's of pages out there with info on building sumps.

I was just stating the obvious.
